Originally formed in 2021 in response to the Covid-19 pandemic, the Outreach and Development Committee provides support throughout the year to teachers, their dancers and the wider Irish dancing community in a variety of areas.

As of 2024, the Committee scope includes the following activities:

1.  Costumes

To provide clarity on current costuming rules for all teachers and dancers, as this is a continuously evolving aspect of competitive Irish dance.

2.  Dancer Engagement

Contact: Heather McClanahan & Caroline O’Driscoll

Establish grass roots, Irish dancing communities for all levels of involvement (beginner to champion, recreational to competitive). 

3.  Teacher Guidance & Support

Contact: Helan Greene & Christine Portbury

An established support system for teachers for any questions or concerns that will then be brought to the appropriate CLRG committee. 

4.  Ceim Or

Contact: Clare McNeill-Arnal & Paula Woodgate

The development of a historical magazine to highlight and reimagine the future of Irish dance for the next generation.
