OVERSEAS  DEVELOPMENT

Forbairt

Chairperson:  Mary Sweeney (ADCRG) – forbairt@clrg.ie

The mandate of the Overseas Committee is to assist and promote Irish dancing in new and developing regions throughout the world under the auspices of An Coimisiún Le Rincí Gaelacha. Members of the committee are charged with advocating on behalf of the newly developing regions, keeping in mind differences in cultural background, language, socio-economic status and geographic location.

Throughout the year, the committee meets on a regular basis to aid and guide these regions in relation to open workshops, qualifying events, local feisanna, grade exams, and seminars for TMRF, TCRG and ADCRG exam preparations.

CLRG are delighted to work with schools throughout Europe, Asia, South America, and South Africa as they celebrate an integral part of Irish culture and bring this beloved cultural artform to new audiences.
