The Scrúdú Teastas Rince Céilí (T.M.R.F.)* is the certification needed to teach ceili dancing under An Coimisiún le Rincí Gaelacha. The examination is open to anyone 20 years of age or older at the date of application and are considered acceptable to An Coimisiun as candidates.

The test consists of three sections as follows:

1. Written Ceili dancing test
   2. Practical test in teaching ceili dancing
   3. Oral Irish language test
   *Optional if candidate lives outside Ireland             

The Scrúdú Teastas Mhúinteora (T.C.R.G.)* is the certification needed to qualify as a teacher with An Coimisiún le Rincí Gaelacha. The examination is open to anyone 20 years of age or older, are acceptable to An Coimisiún as candidates, and have been recommended by a registered adjudicator or teacher within the organisation.

Please note: as of 1 January 2018, all candidates must have completed Grades 1 through 12 to be eligible to take the T.C.R.G. exam.

The examination consists of six sections:

1. Practical test in step dancing
2. Written ceili dancing test
3. Practical test in teaching ceili dancing
4. Practical test in teaching step dancing
5. Written music test
6. Oral Irish language test
